Rosé champagnes have a long history at Maison Mumm. Early in the 19th century, the father of Georges Hermann Mumm was already producing a well-regarded “oeil de perdrix” champagne (its deep pink hue recalled the color of a partridge’s eye, hence the name).
The avant-garde bottle of Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé has no label (a first for Champagne): instead, the House’s iconic red ribbon is engraved directly into the glass, a technical feat conceived and achieved in collaboration with a ward-winning designer.
The Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé magnum bottle is an embodiment of the avant-garde style Mumm has nurtured and developed since its establishment in 1827. Its refined lines have been reinterpreted in a generous 1.5 liter format in which the wine fully expresses its nuances and complexity. Adorned with the House’s iconic red sash, this precious bottle holds an elegant wine crafted for those seeking a champagne with real character.
Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé reveals surprising aromas of forest fruits characteristic of the Pinot Noir grown in the terroir of the Mumm estate. The addition of still red wines brings unique aromatic intensity to the final blend, with light notes of juicy fruits. Ideal from aperitif to dessert, this brut champagne epitomizes not only the Cellar Master’s creativity and craftsmanship but also the richness of this unique terroir.
