RSRV Blanc de Blancs is produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes from Cramant (“chalk mount”) in the Côte des Blancs. Notably, the vines harvested include those from historic plots acquired by Maison Mumm in 1882. The terroir of this Grand Cru offers ideal climatic conditions and a chalky soil which accentuate the mineral, delicate taste of Chardonnay.
For RSRV Blanc de Blancs 2015, a relatively low pressure of 4.5 bars (compared with 6 in general for other champagnes) enables the wine to fully express its minerality and subtle sparkle. After a minimum of three years aging in the cellars and a light dosage of 6 grams per liter, this 100% Grand Cru cuvéee, produced in limited quantities, is ready to be enjoyed.
Light and luminous, with green and pale yellow highlights, and airy, delicate bubbles.
Aromas of citrus (lemon, grapefruit), lemon meringue tart and white peaches.
The attack is incisive. A wine of considerable freshness and minerality with a long, attractive finish.
Sourced from Maison Mumm’s historic terroir, this cuvée is the perfect expression of the Chardonnay grape. Minerality, freshness, vivacity.
Reserved for a circle of insiders since 1838, Maison Mumm’s exceptional champagnes epitomize the excellence of its terroir and savoir-faire.
True to this heritage, RSRV represents the only collection of five 100% Grand Cru cuvées. RSRV Blanc de Blancs is a champagne distinguished by its purity, freshness and very fine bubbles.
