THE EXCELLENCE OF THE MUMM SIGNATURE
While brut, demi-sec and rosé champagnes are made from a blend of different grape varieties, Mumm RSRV Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from Chardonnay, which accounts for its bright, clear colour and fresh, delicate flavours.
THE ORIGINS BEHIND A LEGENDARY CUVÉE
The story of Mumm Blanc de Blancs Mumm begins in the House’s vineyards in the heart of the Champagne region. Spanning nearly 218 hectares, mainly located in eight of the most well-reputed Grand Cru villages, the Mumm vineyards’ distinctive characteristics play a key role in determining the unique personality of its champagnes. Its dual oceanic and continental climate, rolling hillsides and limestone subsoil give the grapes their unique character, while enhancing the House’s inimitable style.
MUMM RSRV BLANC DE BLANCS: ALL THE ELEGANCE OF CHARDONNAY
Minerality, purity and vivaciousness are the watchwords of the Mumm RSRV Blanc de Blancs cuvée, which epitomises the House’s outstanding expertise. First created in 1882, this exceptional cuvée is made exclusively from Chardonnay grown in Cramant (derived from “Mont de craie”, meaning “chalk rise” in French) in the heart of the Côte des Blancs appellation. This Grand Cru terroir benefits from ideal weather conditions and chalk soils, which contribute freshness to the delicacy of Chardonnay.
This wine is cellared for a minimum of three years to fully express its aromatic qualities. It displays a brilliant, clear colour with green and pale-yellow highlights, interspersed with light, delicate bubbles. The nose reveals notes of fresh flowers, lemon and fresh fruit (pear, apple). The wine starts out elegant on the palate, with subtle mineral notes and an impressive richness, culminating in a lively, expressive finish.
