Mumm RSRV Blanc de Noirs
A TRIBUTE TO AN EXCEPTIONAL TERROIR
Mumm RSRV Blanc de Noirs has all the distinctive hallmarks of the House’s signature grape variety: Pinot Noir.
Mumm RSRV Blanc de Noirs is rooted in the heart of the House’s vineyards. This remarkable heritage stretches over 218 hectares of vines, including 160 located in classified Grand Cru villages. This exceptional terroir is characterised by its unique microclimate, rolling hillsides and limestone subsoil, which produce exceptional vintages and determine the style and elegance of the House’s champagnes. Mumm RSRV Blanc de Noirs reflects both the richness of the terroir and the House’s outstanding expertise.
The RSRV Blanc de Noirs 2009 cuvée is made from Pinot Noir from Verzenay, a Grand Cru located north of the Montagne de Reims. This represents a historic terroir for Mumm, which purchased its first vineyard plots in Verzenay back in 1840.
The distinctive personality and minerality of this terroir produce straightforward, powerful Pinot Noir grapes while contributing elegance and complexity. Featuring yellow fruit flavours mingled with brioche and toasted notes, this champagne boasts a wonderfully long and intense finish.
RSRV BLANC DE NOIRS: A FINE WINE
Mumm RSRV Blanc de Noirs epitomises the House’s quintessential style. Nearly two centuries after purchasing the first plots in Verzenay, Mumm continues to express the very best of its terroir and Pinot Noir grape varieties in this outstanding cuvée.
Produced in limited quantities, this vintage champagne is aged for a minimum of six years in the House’s cellars to fully develop its remarkable aromatic complexity and structure.
A yellow colour with golden highlights, Mumm RSRV Blanc de Noirs reveals smoky aromas on the nose, accompanied by notes of vanilla, pear marmalade and butter croissants. It starts out straightforward on the palate, conferred by the power and structure of Pinot Noir, followed by good tension on the finish.
Mumm RSRV Blanc de Noirs is the perfect partner for mature Comté, dried fruits or toasted almonds. It also goes well with white meat or feathered game.
