Recipe

  • INGREDIENTS
    • 120 ml — 4 oz Grand Cordon
    • 2 tsp Caster sugar
    • 15 ml — 1/2 oz Fresh lemon juice
    • 20 ml — 3/4 oz Martell Cognac
    • Lemon peel

Story

This cocktail was created in Paris in 1915, and the recipe evolved with different versions. The version with cognac made its appearance New York city in the late 1930s

Method

In a highball glass add sugar, lemon juice and cognac fill with ice complete with Grand Cordon stir gently and garnish with lemon twist

Tip

The recipe can also be shaken (except champagne) and served into a flute, but there is usually more dilution this way
